Transitioning from a designer to the role of Creative Director at Growth Gurus E-commerce Marketing Agency, I assumed responsibility for overseeing all creative output, including both in-house and client-related projects. Collaborating with teams handling email design, video content creation, social media, and graphic design, I ensured alignment with brand objectives. Regular cross-team meetings facilitated cohesive creative output across all channels.
Growth Gurus is a proud partner of Yotpo, a Master Elite Partner with Klaviyo, and collaborates closely with Justuno.
Growth Gurus established itself as a frontrunner in email automation marketing for e-commerce, prompting the initiative to host live masterclasses tailored for e-commerce merchants. Teaming up with industry giants Klaviyo and Yotpo, we orchestrated comprehensive and actionable sessions in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.
My role centered on ensuring that the production reflected Growth Gurus' commitment to excellence, presenting them as a top-tier authority in the field. This involved designing and coordinating various print collateral, from photography and media walls to large-format posters and merchandise. Additionally, I crafted visually engaging presentations for on-screen display and curated other visual elements to elevate the overall aesthetic. Managing local printers, I ensured timely delivery of materials to meet our fast-paced schedules.
The resounding success of the masterclasses, marked by sold-out sessions and over 100 participants collectively, spurred the expansion into online formats, such as DTCX Expo, underscoring the enduring impact of our endeavors.
In my role, I was tasked with both creatively directing and designing loyalty programs for our clients. Collaborating closely with the strategy team, I implemented innovative designs aimed at engaging users and encouraging participation in the loyalty programs, which rewarded them with points and incentives for their spending. While loyalty programs are often static, I decided to take a unique approach for Kas Australia, a prominent homewares company, drawing inspiration from collectible kids' toys like Polly Pockets. The loyalty program I devised was designed to be fun and interactive, allowing users to collect homeware items with allocated points to build their ideal home. Once users had collected all the items and accumulated enough points, they would receive a significant reward to spend at the store.
The design of the loyalty program reflected Kas Australia's brand guidelines, utilizing their secondary color palette in a gentle, muted tone, while incorporating vibrant, collectible, illustrated furniture pieces. The use of GIFs added to the fun and interactivity of the program, while the incorporation of brightly colored flags with points served a psychological purpose, tapping into the satisfaction users feel when collecting items akin to sales tags.
The loyalty program was seamlessly integrated into Klaviyo's email campaign, where it was introduced to users as a primary platform for engagement. Yotpo served as the backbone of the loyalty program, providing the necessary infrastructure for its implementation and management.
In my capacity as Creative Director at Growth Gurus, I was entrusted with overseeing both our in-house brand and client projects. Managing our in-house brand involved supervising the development of case studies, white papers, visual presentations, social media content, merchandise design, and Masterclass visual design.
I played a pivotal role in launching Growth Gurus' YouTube channel, overseeing the creative presentation and ensuring its seamless integration into the existing social media framework. Collaborating closely with the video content creation team, I provided support to maintain a consistent visual identity and cohesive brand application throughout the channel. Furthermore, I crafted video illustrations, opening and closing scenes, and graphic design elements to enhance the storytelling within the videos.
Growth Gurus stands at the forefront of Australia's email automation marketing industry. Through my role in creatively directing client email campaigns, flows, and automations, meticulous attention was given to every detail, aimed at achieving key objectives including surpassing a 35% revenue target from automation, reducing abandoned cart rates to below 10%, and boosting client email engagement rates.
Regular collaboration with the data analysis team ensured precise implementation of essential features such as countdown timers, shop form email capabilities, interactive galleries, email review capabilities, and adherence to accessibility best practices. Recognizing the significance of mobile in online shopping, efforts were made to optimize for mobile devices, acknowledging that 91% of online shoppers utilize mobile for purchases. Additionally, email designs were strategically scaled to prevent cutoffs and ensure optimal viewing across all devices.
